This series introduces kingdom prayer ministry for the healing of the sick. You will learn the difference between secular worldview and Christian worldview and how this impacts the 21st century Christ follower in the area of praying for healing. You will also gain an understanding of the scriptural authority and power given to followers of Jesus in order to fulfill Jesus’ command in Matthew 10:8, “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons.”

The course includes an in-depth look into Jesus’ healing miracles as seen in Mark 5. From this scripture study, you will gain an understanding of the rule and reign of God on earth, the relevance of Jesus’ healing ministry, and His techniques. This in-depth discussion provides a clearer concept of the “now and not yet” theology as it applies to praying for the sick.

To learn to pray effectively for healing, the guidelines of look, ask and listen are explained as well as the key principle of seeing and hearing from God as demonstrated in John 5:19. These guidelines are incorporated with practical suggestions in the teaching of the Vineyard 5-step prayer model. At the culmination of these four sessions, you will be armed with a plan for effective engagement in the work of the Holy Spirit as you pray for the sick.
