Explore the New Testament with expert scholars and gifted preachers. Learn how to interpret one of Paul’s letters to better grasp God’s message through Paul to the churches of his day. Then you can more responsibly understand and apply his word to your life today. Upcoming courses will make Jesus’ parables more vivid and understandable; you can accompany Jesus through his life and his ministry; learn what was on Paul’s and John’s hearts in the letters to their churches and, ultimately, what is on God’s heart for us today.

A significant portion of the New Testament is made up of epistles, or letters. However, letters in the ancient world had variable forms and structures that differ from our twenty-first century concept of a letter. Therefore, studying and understanding this genre from the perspective of the original audience is invaluable for any student of scripture. Using Paul's letter to the Philippians as a model, Dr. Gordon Fee instructs us on the importance of learning how to establish a good reading strategy as we approach the study of scripture so that we can become good students of scripture.
